This shot was actually taken by my classmate and frequent hitchhiker Gina; I cropped it some and saved the original. I told her to get a camera herself when we got back; she said she'd save up for one. She has a good eye, and I'm just happy to have another click-happy friend develop an enthusiasm for photography.
They played what i call "saxy" music all around the resort's man-made saltwater lagoons at sunset, and I almost fell asleep in the warm plunge pool with massage jets out of sheer bliss.
It could be a very romantic place if you had your special someone with you. I saw a date package at the front desk for "a rose petal-strewn path starting from your villa's door leading to a rose petal bath, and a candlelit dinner set up on the beach with butler service and violin players". Nothing innovative from a pessimistic resort service marketing perspective; but really, would you have the heart to nitpick the unchilled champagne if the one you loved had pulled out all the stops?
