Located in Silver Falls State Park, at 178 feet, Double Falls is the tallest waterfall in the park. For me it's always been a challenge to photograph, though. First of all, the location is dead center within the "Trail of Ten Falls" 7.2 mile loop, so, you need to hike at least 3.5 miles (give or take) to see it. Then, it's off the beaten path inside a confined nook. Because of this your choice of angles for creativity are limited. 6 years ago I came away with this shot. I decided to focus more on a cluster of small cascades and frame them with a nearby tree than attempting to photograph the entire waterfall.
