Description:
From Lismer's Sheffield period, before he moved to Canada and became one of the Group of Seven. This was one of the last Lismers in the family, before it passed to one of the Lismer collections in Canada. Originally it was given by Arthur to his sister Lucy on the occasion of her marriage to Henry Fisher Short of Sheffield in 1905. A draft of the picture was found in the USA among Arthur's posthumous papers by his daughter Marjorie.
