“I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.”
― Charles Dickens
“Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time.”
― Laura Ingalls Wilder

“Want to keep Christ in Christmas? Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, forgive the guilty, welcome the unwanted, care for the ill, love your enemies, and do unto others as you would have done unto you.”
― Steve Maraboli, Unapologetically You: Reflections on Life and the Human Experience
💌“My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for Christmas to do this :-)
❤🎄🎁 A few words - to thank you all for your warmth and kindness. Never before have I experienced such generosity of spirit, such is the community here on Flickr that I am proud and privileged to be part of.
🔔 This was taken a few years ago now... and it was a special time. With cut backs, we did not have fireworks this year: but the atmosphere was strong and special :-) and it is my wish that you share in the happiness I felt... and again when our lights were switched on, this last Saturday.
. . . to ALL my dear flickr friends, with thanks for all the kindness shown to me and support this past year. We have shared a lot of laughs, photographs too ! ....... Couldn`t do this without you, love you all. Wishing health and happiness for you and your families, this Christmas season and the year ahead xxxx
### ALL of you are included in this picture: Flickr only allows so many, and some of you choose not to be `added` to photos. You are all there, in my greeting, in my heart.
😀 All it needs now, is YOUR holiday Christmas and new year pics, which you’re invited to post beneath 🙏🎁🎅🎄
🙏 oh, and a reminder (should you need one) ...keep the kindness going, Even when you tire, and the going gets tough. Try to remember, that there are folk out there experiencing worse. They need our help... let’s see, if we can help them.
Who knows, it could be any one of us, reaching out..🙏
🎅🙏 Still keeping the Christ in Christmas... and moving forward unapologetically, to the holiday season.. with this picture, from Wolverhampton. And why not:-). I haven’t another, that could possibly measure up. This is my favourite... and it seems to be your favourite.......so no other picture will do ~to wish you a happy Christmas.
You’ve been so kind to me throughout 2019: I couldn’t wish for better friends.
My offline family has grown...I have acquired a beautiful daughter in law 😍 ...all I need now, is the icing on the cake :-) ... grandchildren 😀. I’m putting it on my Santa’s wish list.
On Christmas Day however, it will be only my husband and I, sat down to dinner. Our Son is visiting in laws... and Daughter, working.
First time in all our years together 😨😂
We can do this :-)))
Oh dear, what a mess this year has been... and what lessons have we learnt. Probably the most important one is that we can never take our health and life on Earth for granted. Or indeed our family and friendships.
It was unexpected (Covid), unwelcome and unwanted... and we’re left still under a cloud of uncertainty, awaiting the arrival of a vaccine.. or other such miracle.
So the run up to Christmas will be precarious ! and not at all what we’ve become accustomed to, throughout the years. Maybe, hopefully we will all find the strength to cope and help each other through it.
Perhaps even a bit of enjoyment can creep in :-) I do hope so.
I’m sure I will have more to add to this saga, in the run up to the special day :-) it’s going to be a time of reflection, if nothing else. 😊 🎄 🎅. < < < there you go .... the first Xmas emojis 😀😘
My love to you all ! Friends/ family/ contacts/ ~ (even foes, who are never really.)
We’re all put on this earth with equal importance...... and will go out the same way 😊💝🙏
This picture is my chosen one, as it represents love and kindness, and all the goodwill needed for the holiday season.
I could never hope to better this, or would want to. And it’s Wolverhampton, (my hometown) past and present.
My heart is here: and now, so are you ♥️
