I was in the Highlands and Islands a couple of weeks before voting in the Scottish independence referendum and kept seeing the word Yes wherever I went.
In Tobermory the word Yes is seen in white letters above the first red building after the church. Voters had to answer yes or no to the question should Scotland be an independent country? The No side won, with 55.3% of the vote.
This picturesque port with its brightly coloured harbour front buildings was the setting of the children's TV show Balamory. Tobermory is the capital of the isle of Mull, in the Scottish Inner Hebrides.
