Bouley to the articleon Horse Pox in the NotivcaiL Dictionnaire de medecine et dechinirgie veterinaires, concerning a case of an eruptive maladyof the horse which was in the first place taken for aphthousstomatitis, but the inoculation of which produced Cow Pox, inthe cow submitted to the experiment; or if the opportunities ofthe dinique had even cnce brought to your notice the supposedaphthous stomatitis with an eruption on the circumference ofthe nostrils, in the hollow of the heel, or on other parts of thebody, it would no longer be possible to be misled as to itsnature, and to mistake Horse Pox or equine variola. In addition to these animals, I inspected in the commune ofLabastide Clermont, a mare which had been especially brought tomy notice as suffering in a very marked degree from the effectsof the malady.
